Blending Modes

1Favorites

You can create up to 5 favorites in the Category view and up to 12 favorites in the Favorites view. You can switch between these views using the panel menu in the top-right corner.

If no mode has been assigned yet, as when opening the plugin for the first time, an underlined number will be displayed. Click a button to assign your preferred blending mode or insert a separator. To edit or delete an existing favorite, right-click it.

Alt/Option Key

Hold down the Alt/Option key to temporarily switch the blending mode to Normal. This way, you don't need a dedicated button for this mode.

Ctrl/Command Key

Hold down the Ctrl/Command key to switch the blending mode to the last mode you used.

TIPRight-Click

Right-click any button to display all available options, so you don't have to remember the keyboard shortcuts. To change an existing favorite, you'll find all available blending modes here, as well as the option to insert a separator.

2Categories

All available blending modes are organized into the familiar categories:

  • Normal
  • Darken
  • Lighten
  • Contrast
  • Difference
  • Component

TIPMenu

Use the menu in the top-right corner of the panel to switch between Category view and Favorites view, and to show or hide empty favorites. This menu also includes Export and Import functions, allowing you to copy your settings to another version of Photoshop.
